Passover begins tomorrow- a journey that was supposed to be 3-6 weeks to the promised land became 40 years. The journey of the world’s battle with the COVID-19 virus continues with no end in sight… but there is an end, and it is us who get to write how that end will look like. Do we want to be remembered as asking for help or as lending a hand to our neighbor and offering help? As whining and complaining, or as taking that difficult road with stride even if we don’t ourselves make it to the promised land, pushing and leading our community towards our salvation (emotional, physical, and mental). Are we each isolating ourselves in our misery, carrying the remaining belongings of our fractured pride and walk as ghosts of who we were? Or, do we pack our positive energy, throw down our shackles and don freedom and human decency as a badge on our lapel and as a load on our back that would be our regeneration – allowing our collective powers to act as the eagle’s wings that would navigate us towards our recovery, our freedom and our promised land. May G-d bless you all. May we all return from this journey stronger, wiser and kinder!
